I don't have enough experience to know what makes a perfect clipper, so I'll put 4 stars for this very effective one.

I have a cat but strongly prefer this type of tool to the little "scissors" that are usually sold for cats. I think having your fingers locked into scissors makes it very difficult to fit the angle you have to work, which is determined a lot by where and how your kiddo is actually positioned.

Rather than putting effort into bending my body to make scissors at the right angle, the flexibility of this type of tool allows me to put effort into cutting in the right place.
I can make small changes in angles with my fingers, including that I can maintain great visibility on where the blade is and not have the tool block my vision. I can keep the tool just open enough for the cut at hand, and the easy movement to squeeze the tool makes the cut fast to keep the precision.

I can't compare it to many others yet, but it works well for me.
